i had way more of the trenchcoat yarn than i thought, and way more of the red. I should have done cuff with the red as well, but going top down makes me scared i won’t be able to finish a toe i start. I really think I need to do toe up so that I can do that.

On the up side, I have enough of the trenchcoat yarn (two full tan sections left) to do a second pair with them, but I think what I’ll do it alternate rows of the tranchcoat with a neutral brown that I have. It’ll stretch it out. Might do the drop stitcehd like the Dalenkanium pattern, and ensure the drips are on the trenchcoat rows. Might be really cool. I just need to figure out the flap and gusset on the toe up. A hurdle I hadn’t tried. And also see if I can find a bind off as stretchy as this cast on.

I also decided this is going to be the first sock of what I’m calling my 12-23 challenge. That is 12 pairs of socks in 2023. This is in addition to all the other knitting I have planned. I want to finish one sweater, do a whole second sweater, and I have to make another christmas stocking. I was also thinking of mittens or fingerless gloves for everyone for christmas. So there’s a lot to do.

Finally: How great do these look?! I love the TurtlePurl yarns! If I ever get to the point where I need more yarn I will absolutely be ordering more!
