Doubled the “groundplan” stitches. Made it longer, made insert pockets with i-cord border, i-cord border on sleeves too. Made a collar instead of a hood. Guess one person’s “colorful” can be another’s “hideous” -- LOL.

I am wearing the sweater while deciding what to do about front closures. It is OK indoors, but a bit drafty outside. Thinking that garter stitch bands on front edges with buttons might be best.

The last time I made one of these was when my son was a baby going on toddler in 1978.

Pomfret is one of my all time favorite yarns. Still have about 2/3 of a box of remnants left.

Added a three stitch iCord border from the lower right edge, across the collar and down the left edge yesterday. Left 2 “blind” rows every 12 ridges for buttonholes. The borders I added to the pockets and cuffs with a size 2 needle seemed a bit tight, so I used a size 3. It looks just a wee bit slack, but think I will add buttons and block it before deciding for sure.
