Discovered that the newborn size Tomten modular sweater pattern (in fingering weight yarn) is a good match for an XS size dog sweater.

I shortened the sleeves and used a generous collar to fold over rather than a hood.

Atticus is a Shih Tzu - terrier mix, about 9 lbs. I adopted him in April 2012. He needs to use a harness instead of a collar. It fits well over this sweater.

Atticus is more amenable to going out in the rain with the sweater. He now gets excited when I get the sweater because it means going out.
