After starting and frogging back the ridged eyelet section several times, I finally decided to try swatching to figure out why mine weren’t looking like everyone else’s. Finally realized I had been yarning over in the wrong direction. I had been yarning over back to front rather than front to back which had resulted in a strand kind-of hanging between stitches. If anyone else is having this problem: yarn-over as if you’re knitting. Hopefully I can get this blanket going in the right direction now with all my upcoming time off :)

Bf got COVID just in time for Christmas so all of our plans have been cancelled which has afforded me some quality knitting time. Finished 4th skein at the end of row 62. I bought the initial 5 skeins at Joann in Maple Grove (all they had). Ordered 10 more skeins online and now I’m wondering if it’s going to be enough for 4 complete repeats. May need to order more.
Finished 5th skein at end of row 24 (second repeat).

7 skeins in almost through 2nd repeat. Blanket size currently is 54” wide x 48” long.

Middle of 10th skein and row 42 of 3rd repeat (just started garter ridges) and blanket is almost large enough to cover our queen size air mattress. Fairly certain I am only going to do 3 pattern repeats before the final garter edge. Current blanket length is 62”

Finished all the knitting yesterday and saved the bind off for this morning. Used Elizabeth Zimmerman’s sewn bind off. Just a few ends left to sew in. I’m in love with this blanket, even if it does shed a whole lot.
