Ha. Now that I’m starting the lace section I just realized I’ve omitted the two garter edge stitches throughout the first, oh, 150 rounds of the shawl. Whoops!

Obviously I’m not going to frog back to fix, but I do need the slipped stitches starting on row 149, so I’ll frog back a few rows and make extra increases. Better late than never?

Ok, having just typed that I’m looking and the edges are REALLY ugly because I’ve increased on the edge rather than two stitches in. Also I’ve inadvertently got 10 repeats rather than the 9 called for in the pattern, and I’ve not been thrilled with how many rows I knit in the lightest orange. I’ve got a few months before Lucy’s birthday, so I think I will frog back after all.

Let this be a lesson: do not cast on a project while jet lagged and distracted by the adorable niece you have not seen in too many months!
