Marie has a store-bought hat that she wears all the time, despite the numerous hats I’ve knit her over the years. So when we were at Wet Coast Wools she picked out this skein and said it would be perfect for a hand knit version. Two by Two rib and one by one rib were not squishy enough, so I tried brioche which was declared acceptable. However, it won’t be similar enough to the hat we’re trying to copy, so on our return visit she purchased a skein of 100% cashmere fingering weight and I’ll try that one as a 2x2 rib and hope it’s right!
