Notes

This is my first test for Vicky Chan. Love the lacy yoke on this. I held 2 strands together throughout to knit this pullover. Vicky gave me permission to knit wider sleeves. Directions for my size 2 sleeves are given below.

Needles used:

Neckband - Size 4 US (3.5 mm)

Body and sleeves - Size 5.5 US (4 mm)

Lower and sleeve ribbing - Size 3 US (3.25 mm)

Bind off for lower ribbing - Size 1.5 US (2.5 mm) (JSSBO)

These needles were my Addi interchangeable Turbo Clicks. Although Ravelry says that a 4 mm needle is equivalent to a size 6 US, I disagree with this. When compared to a Boye US needle size 6, the needle I used for the body and sleeves is smaller. I would say that a size 6 US needle is closer to a 4.25 mm needle.

Finishhed Garment Measurements:

Front length from top of neckband - 19”

Back length from top of neckband - 20.5”

Side length from underarm - 13” (10” + 3” ribbing)

Body circumference at underarm - 38.5”

Sleeve length from underarm - 19.5” (including 3” cuff)

Widest part of sleeve - 15” circumference

Narrowest part of sleeve - 10” circumference

Cuff - 6” circumference, 3” long

Lace yoke height from top of neck - 7”

Weight of finished garment: 10.25 oz

How I knit my sleeves:

All increase rounds - K3, LLI, knit to 3 sts before BOR marker, RLI, K3, slip BOR.
LLI - Left Lifted Increase
RLI - Right Lifted Increase

Using size 4 mm needle …..

Per pattern, picked up 52 held sleeve sts + 10 sts at underarm = 62 sts.

Next round, decrease 2 sts per pattern = 60 sts

Knit 7 rounds straight. Knit increase round = 62 sts

Repeat above 8 rounds 13 more times = 88 sts

Knit 7 rounds straight..

Next round: K2tog all around = 44 sts

Change to size 3 US needle.

Knit 19 rounds of K1, P1 ribbing

Bind of with size 1.5 US needle using JSSBO (Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off)
