This is being knit for a silent auction to help the recipient get where she needs to go for health things.
Man, it’s been a bit long since I picked up a pair of needles. ^^’ I guess I just didn’t want to knit when it was summer and hot and stuff?
Anyway, this thing is knitting up fast so far (“so far” being to row 25, so I expect I’ll be slowing down soon ^^’). So far, I’ve already found two mistakes I made--I was lucky and was able to correct them, but I probably should not be knitting in low light I have right now. ^^’
I have done three repeats of chart 2, half of the suggested length for chart 3 and I’ll be finishing up with a half repeat of chart 2 because I want this done. Also, it’s due in less than a week. ^^’ I’m also changing the bottom edge because, dear Lord, do I hate garter stitch (answer: yes, I hate it). I will instead do … nothing. And cast-off after row 15 to complete the leaf.
Review of yarn used: no complaints? It knit smoothly, didn’t unravel or have knots and was silky smooth and a joy to work with.
Review of pattern: Have I mentioned I love finding patterns I can knit and maybe sell or donate? I love it so much. ^^ The charts were a little small and repetitive, in that the left side was exactly the same as the right side and, thus, didn’t really need to be there (I folded up my printout so I could only see one side. I have issues with parallel lines which can make chart-reading an adventure). Other than that, I found the pattern to be pretty darn awesome. ^^ Any mistakes in the resulting shawl are my own (and, woo, are there some xx).
