Mods: (because of course I mod)
- not doing the not-real cables on the ribbing--it’s gonna be just plain ol’ straight ribbing because I am in a rush and also lazy.
- I’m also going to be trying my luck at knitting these from the fingers up, because I am insane. The thumb will be quite a bit smaller, but I hate knitting thumbs anyway. xx I’ll stick my notes here if they work out.
- cables were knit with reference to the chart, but from the top of the chart heading down. It was a little.confusing, but only because the cable instructions are different when you’re going a different way, obviously, but it still confuzzled me ^^’
- Used mejum instructions for armwarmers and and large for the thumb gusset, for whatever reason. xx
Mods I used to knit fingers-up:
- c/o 48 st
- row 18 is thumn caston--16 st. Decrease every row by two until 48 st left on needle (all thumb st decreased)
Mods I would use to knit fingers-up again:
- c/o 44 st
- thumb gusset c/o 12 & dec to 4 st remaining for thumb c/o

Project for office gift exchange. Which will be in 2 weeks. I hope my fingers are speedy enough! ^^’

Math stinks, especially when I get it wrong. xx All this thinking on how to, effectively, reverse the knitting of a pattern makes my brain hurt.

Kitty helps with knitting! For five minutes and then I was on my own again. Thanks, Tori, ilu, too. xx

W00t, cast off completed! Also a cause for celebration: I actually had an extra week to complete this! ^^’
I’ve gotta say, I’m none too impressed with this yarn--it was already pilling before I even got halfway down. It maaaay hav something to do with how tight I held my yarn--I kinda held it super tight on the front and that’s where the worst of the pilling seems to be. xx
The mods I used (and the mods I would use if I knit this again--and I am v. tempted to) will be forthcoming, yay!
