Well, almost Yin/Yan! Two 710 yard skeins should be just enough to complete both bags. I had already used some of the red so I substituted some hot pink (Strawberry) I had in stash for a few rows on the purple grounded bag (3, 3-row stripe motifs out of the 7).
This is a great pattern with only a few minor adjustments I found made more sense as I went along. For instance, in row 19 and all repetitions of row 19, ss over to next chain space prior to ch 4. Make tails at least 12” on each strap in order to attach with slip stitches.
Cotton yarn makes these very sturdy, utilitarian bags and I look forward to using them weekly.
