Decided it would be fun to juggle multiple projects at once, so here’s another.

Because I have to make everything as hard as possible, I did this two-at-a-time on two circulars. I did an afterthought heel because I thought the heel would look odd with self-striping yarn. Waited a couple of weeks to weave in ends and block.

Ran into a nasty problem with Felici quality control: I was using two skeins from the same dye lot, and one’s color intervals were consistently a centimeter or two longer than the other’s. I wouldn’t have noticed if I weren’t doing two-at-a-time, but would have ended up with uneven stripes between socks if I hadn’t adjusted (snipped the yarn, lined the colors up again) every few color changes. I wanted my socks to match perfectly, so it was an added pain. I’ve used Felici once before (and plan to use it again soon -- I’ve stashed a couple more colorways already) and didn’t notice such unevenness then.
