From time to time i purchased yarns that could possibly “work” but…
Then my Mom passed away and I inherited her yarn stash. And there was a bag, with the right yarn, in the right color. We bought it so “one day” I could knit her a matching shawl.
The only difference is that the ICord edging on mine was Plum. My Mom picked Stone for herself.
Somehow this feels even more appropriate now.
