Notes

What a super lovey stitch pattern and a great accessory to highlight a special skein of Spincycletwo_hearts Plus, you can never go wrong with FDF Recollect Sport, this is my absolutely favorite yarn to knit all types of garments and accessories withheartsheartshearts
Thank you Briana for having me test this darling little cowlsparkles

I started with 59.7 grams of FDF Recollect Sport and had 12 grams left over.
Spincycle DITW weighed 53.6 grams and I had 14 grams left over.

I followed the increases per pattern. I think I will add another full repeat of increases for a future Sisterhood cowl. I added a repeat and a half for the straight knitting to get the full length as stated in pattern. I will update on blocked dimensions once dry blush.

I plan on not fully seaming the edges to have it lay out more on the shoulders.

Super potato chip knitting, worked up so quick, and addictive watching the color changes of the Spincycle DITW.

Note on gauge…I did not do a proper gauge swatch, as in, I did not wet block laughing Instead, I just cast on and knit until I had a good place to put removable stitch markers on the stitches per 4 inches. Worked the 40 rows, and was satisfied that it was close to stated gauge without blocking.

After blocking…
Because of the stitch pattern, I find it easier to just cast on and let your beginnings be the gauge. Once you have 21 sts, use your light bulb stitch markers marking the stitches per 4 inch. When I go back to check gauge after blocking, it is still relatively close, with my markers still in place. But to go back and try to count the stitches without, it is a little difficult to tell with the pattern exactly.

Post Blocking Measurements
Neck~ 24.5 inches
Seam Edge~ 8.5 inches
Center Length~ 18 inches
Total weight~ 87.3 grams

I used pins to stretch it out a bit. I don’t like for cowls to be really tight up against my neck. This seems to be a good measurement for other cowls like this for me. The pins helped to let the tip lay flat, and the I-cord bind off.
