Steeking in 2023 scissors

01-03-2023

Did gauge in body pattern with both yarns, got gauge on the US size 7. I will use US size 8 for sleeves.

This yarn is incredible! So soft and lightweight, the cardi is going to be so cozy!

03-04-2023

So cozy, lightweight, soft and wonderful. I have to decide if I want to put on one button on the front, or just leave it as is. Need to pick up some pretty ribbon to cover steeked edges, but otherwise it’s wearable until then, and I love it! Maybe another one in moodier colorssmiling_face_with_3_heartsheartsmiling_face_with_3_hearts

My crochet reinforcement didn’t seem to be holding very well, and my sewing is too sloppy, so I added crochet reinforcement down both sides of the original one, so far nothing is coming apart crossed_fingers::skin-tone-2
I used a woolly wool in a lighter weight to reinforce, maybe I should’ve used something different?? I will do more research for my next steek. Since this is a mix of 100% wool and superwash, it is not as sticky as a total non-superwash would be, but the Spincycle blooms nicely and looks amazing!
