Notes

observations: a little short in the fingers for my preference (size m hands). next time knit 0.5 to 0.75” after picking up garter st.

Thumb gusset also kind of short. do the cast on provisionally for thumb, then pick up & knit in round after?

fit is perfect for me around forearms. plus sizes will want to make increases as they proceed down from the wrist.

grafting garter stitch

  • the last row of stitches on the front piece have purl bumps snug up against the needle and the last row of stitches on the back piece have knit stitches up against the needle.
  • set up: insert the needle into the first stitch on the front needle as if to purl and then into the first stitch on the back needle as if to purl again.
  • 1: Insert the needle into the first stitch on the front needle as if to knit, while slipping it off the end of the needle.
  • 2: Insert the needle into the next stitch on the front needle as if to purl, but this time, leave it on the needle. Gently pull the yarn through.
  • rep steps 1 & 2 on back needle
