Swatching 12/21/11: After blocking, stitch gauge was the same on 5’s & 6’s. Row gauge was about half a stitch better with the 6’s, so 6’s it is.
The color of the skein is not accurate (it looks more “green-blue” to me). The yarn is more blue like in the second-to-last picture of the ribbing.
12/27/11: All of a sudden, I can’t get a good picture of the color. The color is more blue like the 3rd picture (ribbing). This is the only thing I worked on over the Christmas Weekend, and I think I’m about halfway thru the raglan increases.
Separated the sleeves 1/19/12
Bound off the body 2/29/12. I LOVE THIS SWEATER SO MUCH! Just 2 sleeves & button bands to go…
3/4/12: decreased sleeves to 72 sts when starting the ribbing to keep k2p2 pattern.
3/5/12: ribbing was loose and blah on the sleeve cuff, so I pulled it out and knit it on a US 4 needle. It’s pulling in nicely and I love where it is now! :D Will knit to 40 rows on the ribbed cuff and bind off. The sleeve is perfect after 20 rows, but I want to be able to fold it back. Have I mentioned that I LOVE THIS SWEATER!?? :) 1st sleeve completed.
3/5/12: Sleeve 2 completed. Winding skein #9. I’m hoping to have enough yarn. It looks like yarn amounts are “right on” and I“m going to have very little left over, if any. THe end is in sight! :D
3/17/12: finished button band & picked up buttonhole band. have 55.5 g left in skein #9. i think I can do this without breaking into the 10th skein (crosses fingers). plans to go to JoAnn’s and get what I’m hoping are the perfect buttons.
3/19/12: FINISHED!! the sweater was shortened a couple inches, so that helped with having extra yarn. I have one untouched skein leftover + (2) 10g balls of yarn. I also only used 7 buttons. LOVELOVELOVE
