Notes

Friend was super excited that she was going to be an aunt. She kept referring to her soon to be nephew as “baby appleseed” and asked if I could knit her an appleseed hat to gift her sister-in-law at the baby shower. She described how she envisioned the hat to look and this is it. This was very easy and quick to make. The hat is a basic beanie. The stem is an eye cord, knitted on scrap worsted weight yarn using US size 8 needles. The leaf, came from a written pattern in a book called “Knitting Over The Edge” by Nicky Epstein. I also used a scrap worsted weight yarn for the leaf but with US size 6 needles.
