These tiny beanies are just too cute and I made them in 2 sizes just before Christmas for recently born babies.

Quick and easy pattern for newborn beanies:
Bulky yarn, less than 50g
Needles: 5mm circular needles
Sizes: Tiny Newborn/0-3mths
Instructions:
Cast on 48(56) sts
Join in the round and place an end of round marker.
Rounds 1-26(32) knit
Decreases:
Round 27(33) k1, k2tog to end of round
Round 28(34) knit
Round 29(35) k1, k2tog to end of round
Round 30(36) knit
Round 31(37) k2tog to end of round
Round 32(38) knit
Thread yarn through remaining sts to finish
To finish:
Weave in ends
Make a pompom and attach it to the top of the beanie

I’ve made hats in both sizes but unfortunately I don’t have the gauge as I’ve already gifted them. Will check at a later date and update my post. Also when working the decreases if there’s an odd stitch at the end of the round I simply knitted it.
All 3 hats were made using less than 100g of red yarn.
