Actually started before Christmas but not happy with raglan sleeves so ripped out and started over in the new year. Will now have set in sleeves.
I cut the turtle neck (3.5mm’s) off my original attempt and I may graft it back on, or not.
Body and stranded knitting on 4.5mm’s, bottom rib and sleeve cuffs 4mm’s.
The jumper is knitted topdown and flat until joined in the round following the sleeve split. Short row working shapes the shoulders and stitches are increased when working the right and left fronts to shape the front neckline. The neck stitches were picked up at the end to work the collar. I’d originally planned to knit a turtle neck sweater with raglan sleeves but changed my mind after I’d completed the raglan working. It’s now got a crew neck and set in sleeves.
Still I’m ahead of the game with my Christmas’24 jumper!
When working the back shoulder shaping I cast on with a provisional cast on and proceeded to work the right and left shoulders with short rows before picking up and working the stitches for the right and left front shoulders separately. Following the split for the sleeves I continued the lower body in the round.
Definitely looking forward to knitting this again in another colour.
