Had to go back to The Knitting Boutique for help with understanding the Joining row. Thanks to Genia for explaining the directions to me.

I ended up using a long size 3 needle and picking up the 64 stitches first and then transferred one stitch at a time on to the LH needle and knitted the two stitches together. Hope this makes sense to anyone else trying to work this row.

Finally finished! I didn’t work in this everyday so it didn’t really take 6 weeks. Not a fan of sweaters that need to be sewn together but this really turned out very nicely. It fits perfectly.
