Size 4 (3.5mm) needle
Waste Yarn for provisional cast on

Change colors when you feel like it.

Crochet Provisionally cast on 67 stitches.
Knit one row
Set up row: Slip 1, knit 2, place marker, purl 30 stitches, place marker, purl 1, place marker, purl to last 3 stitches, place marker, knit 3

Row 1: (RS) slip 1, knit 2, slip marker, ssk, knit to marker, yo, slip marker, k1, slip marker, yo, knit to two stitches before next marker, k2tog, slip marker, knit to end

Row 2: (WS) slip 1, k2, slip marker, purl to last 3 stitches, slip marker, k3

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until desired length then graft short ends using either kitchener stitch or 3 needle bind off.

Can be knitted in any weight yarn with appropriate needle size and stitch count adjustment.
