December 11, 2017: Frogging to reuse the yarn. I haven’t been wearing it.

Fibonacci stripes of 5, 3, and 2 rows. Inspired by Rosy, which is in fingering weight and uses a totally different stripe pattern. I referred to the Soleil pattern occasionally for DK weight numbers as a guide, but essentially created this pattern from scratch.

As in the Rosy pattern, I worked 3 sts of garter on the edges and worked increases or decreases 1 st away from the 3-st garter edge.

Jogless stripe technique: slip 1st stitch of 2nd round with the new colour.

I CO 165 sts, worked seed st, then on 1st rnd of St st, work k3, m1 around (220 sts). Worked a few inches of St st before waist shaping.

Later: I removed the bottom band (orange seed stitch) and reworked it longer to add some length. BO using the miraculous elastic BO.

First sloped shoulder. 22 sts.
Back left and right front (right-hand side on RS is higher than left side): K RS, stop where 8 sts already BO wd be. W&t, p WS to end. Turn, k to where 15 sts BO would be. W&t, p WS to end. (3-ndl BO)

Back right and left front (left side is higher than right-hand side on RS): starting on WS, purl 7 sts, w&t, k to end. Purl 6 sts beyond the gap (picking up the wrapped St), w&t, k to end. (3-ndl BO)
