I started making these mittens in navy and white because they are for my husband and blue is his favorite color. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the Alpaca yarn because it was too soft and too fuzzy so, I thought I would try Cascade 220 for the second mitten. But we were out of the country and I didn’t have any navy Cascade with me. So, I thought I would start the second mitten in black and white Cascade as a test. I was doing the test mitten with the Cascade my husband told me that I should finish the second mitten in the black and white and he would just have mittens that are two different colors (and yarns) for the outer mitten. So, he now has one black and white and one navy and white. I still prefer the Cascade yarn. I lined both of them with Plymouth angora that is really nice. The pattern and charts are excellent.
