Love this V-pattern, but worked so the V’s would go around, continuously connected. That was just a personal preference. The chevron as written is very pretty.

Worked flat for button closure.
Placed wood beads and amber plastic beads at the top of each chevron. They add just the right touch, since the yarn is a neutral and plain texture.

I think I fashioned a new stitch.
I wanted the base of the V to come from one stitch.

This chevron pattern is a 10 st repeat.
That has to remain intact.

k4, k2tog, yo, ssk, k3 as follows:

1. k4.
2. make k2tog, however, do not slip the left leg of second stitch off to the right needle.
3. yo.
4. work ssk with the loop remaining on the left needle along with the next stitch.
5. k3.

Viola! A beautiful V in one stitch without making an unwanted new stitch!
