Notes

This Kozmos yarn is very soft and is dyed very evenly. In 5 sk, there was only one knot. Upon washing, some excess dye was in wash water, but rinse water was clear. Garment held its shape nicely- neither shrank nor stretched.

This pattern is very creative and unique.

There’s three chart patterns to work simultaneously, with different #’s of rows each. It’s best to write out each row or make one Master Chart in order to keep track of the different design columns happening.

Short rows make for lovely shaping. A good project for improving your short row technique. This pattern and the Kozmos yarn is forgiving when imperfections happen. I used Japanese Short Row method- kinda.

I don’t think I worked the * - ** directions correctly. To me, there’s a couple different ways to interpret it. Oh, well.

I wanted a different cabled look than the pattern for the Chart 2 section, so I worked ‘6stRC,6stLC’ every 6th row, and kept track of that separately.

The patterns get a little lost with this yarn, but that’s okay. It’s still beautiful.

Used provisional cast on to join ends invisibly.

For flexibility on the inner and outer edges, I worked faux fur rows with US 13 9.0 mm circular needles and cast off very loosely with US 19 15.0 mm.
