This is an incredible Aran style design coordinating two types of yarns. Simple k/p charted pattern. I wrote out the row pattern ‘cause I’m not that great at charts. I had to follow the directions closely each row, not because it was hard, but because the k/p sequences changed frequently, row to row.

It’s best to place markers at each 4, 10, 10, 10 10, 4 st section, keeping them in place even when working the garter st novelty yarn. It’s easy to lose a st here and there with it.

I didn’t do as many patt rpts ( r 1-24 3x, vs 7x )in the middle as directed because I’m making this for a petite person. I’ll have plenty of length regardless. If one works those rows 7x, I believe much more than 72”, in fact an excess of 80” may result. I am on guage st wise and row wise.
