This is a very beautiful pattern and is quick to make. I made another in gray in two evenings. Made this one in a morning and part of an afternoon.

The pattern states that 2 sk of the bulky are needed for one 30” cowl.

One sk of the bulky is plenty for one cowl as written and as well as for rows wider than patt if desired, plus enough for more ch’s for more length.

Had enough bulky yarn to work a row of sc along beg ch edge and also a row sc and a row sl st on second edge.

Holding the mohair yarn double used about half that sk.

Cast on 76 st for extra length vs 56 as written.

Cowl is handwash because of the mohair yarn.
