Love the simplicity of this pattern with a big yarn.

Using paper towel cardboard tubes as knitting needles.
When I arm knit, the stitches get bigger than I like when I pass the loops back over my hand.

Pattern doesn’t include the button as shown on the design page.
I’m going to look for a jumbo button and stitch it on. The regular stitches are probably big enough to slip a button thru. If not, one could add a yarn loop.

I think the view with the button has the corners folded under. Would be a bit bulky there.
I’m going to cast on 3, then inc 2 st every other row to 11 st and work even from there. Will work dec similarly at other end.

Pattern works 9 st thru out.
