Have used this designer’s patterns before and they are very good.

Grandson is crazy about turtles, anything with an egg, all animals and bugs.

Used smaller hook for DK yarn.
Made most of the first turtle in 4 hours.
The next ones will be easier, now that I’ve done one.

Modification:
Fashioned a tail:
ch 4, sl st 1st ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next, dc in next, f/o with yarn tail to attach.

Made left and right front / back appendages by working said directions as written and then, by working same rows in reverse.
