Directions are very well written.

This pattern is for an aran yarn.
Held DK yarn double.

Started with a I 5.5 mm hook. Was under gauge and stitches too dense.
Started over with J 6.0 mm.
Went along much more easily and quickly. Great texture and perfect thickness. Very stretchy and very warm.

Patt states to work patt rows once, then rpt 4 x more.
For me, one set measures 3”, so I needed to rpt the patt rows 5x and yarn allowed.

Had enough yarn to make this second hat as part of a scarf, hat and mitts set with this yarn. A young man needs options!

This is such a great yarn for guy’s projects.
