Notes

Love this simple design for the guys.
Ms. Chelsea’s basket weave stitch pattern is different from others.
It’s not just a checkerboard.
The finished length for my scarf is perfect for a guy to tuck inside his topcoat.

This yarn is produced by a stay-at-home mom in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I didn’t know that when I bought it at Stitches Texas 2016.
Had I known, I would have bought more.

The lovely Ms. Paige leads an independent yarn company that does big things toward numerous charities. Phenomenal!

Both skeins were perfect.

Patterns for fingering held double create a wonderful effect.
Pattern is easy to memorize.

After stitching the beg garter st rows, I found the guage too firm and difficult to work, so I switched to US 5 for pattern work. Two str fingering held together is equivalent to DK, so the US 5 works well. My stitches are still dense and this scarf will be very warm.

I have to admit, this guage is hard on my wrists. If I make this again, I’ll go up to a US 6.

I believe the designer has amended her pattern and the below corrections have been made.
Errata:
Excluding the 4 st on either side edge, the directions state that the patt is in multiples of 8. That’s true and one can increase or decrease stitches worked by that increment.
The working patt is actually in multiples of 8 + 5.
In rows 6 - 8,
5 st are missing near the end of the row.
In rows 10 - 12,
3 st are missing near the end of the row.

Correction:
(maintain all markers)
r 6. k4, … to 5 before (m), k5, (m) k4.
r 7. k4, … to 5 before (m), p5, (m) k4.
r 8. repeat r 6.

r 10. k4, … to 4 st before (m), p3, k1, (m) k4.
r 11. k4, … to 4 st before (m), k3, p1, (m) k4.
r 12. repeat r 10.

When I get a better picture, I will submit it to:
