Notes

This is a fun, easy, free pattern. Directions are very clear.

The cowl is tapered slightly toward the neck edge so it can be worn as a cowl or hood, which minimizes bulk and is versatile.

I used this yarn for Fog Text Message Scarf and really liked it. The sparkle in it is very pretty. It’s a budget friendly yarn that looks expensive.

Ch 58 for slightly longer cowl.
Held yarn double for beg ch only for a little extra stability on that edge.

Note: Make initial ch r very loosely. The pattern states that and you can’t make ‘em too big. The fabric stretches a lot and you want your edges to do the same.

Because of the black color of this yarn, it was a little tricky to know where the hook was supposed to go, but after a bit, that wasn’t a problem.

When working new rows, the top of the bobble from prev row might look like two stitches. Be aware and make the new st into the ‘second’ loop, otherwise, your stitch count will inadvertently increase exponentially.
