Very simple yet beautiful design. It’s fun to work in the faux mending patches. There’s no right or wrong to placing them.

CO 36 + 2 and up one needle size to get a little more width and a little less fabric density than pattern. Worked one selvege st ea side. If I make this again with the same yarn, I’ll go up to US 13 9.0 mm needles.

This tweed yarn has a coordinating multi colorway to use for the patchwork sections without having to buy numerous sk of various colors.

This is a relatively inexpensive all wool yarn that looks and feels very rich. Held double, as called for in this pattern, even better.

Pattern calls for a DK held double. This worsted has the same original guage as the design project.

The stitches relaxed lengthwise after washing and the scarf is several inches longer. I don’t have a picture nor measurements after washing.
