Notes

The directions are well written.
The photo tutorial for assembly is good.
Generous of the designer to offer it free.

There’s a lot of knitting and a lot of sewing with this one but the end result is worth it. Seaming is very forgiving. One needn’t worry about it.

The designer got 22 st / 4”, US 3 needle. with a bulky yarn. The design yarn is a little less bulky than mine.
With US 3, I get 18 st / 4”. My fabric is dense and using a smaller needle would be too difficult.
Used a US 5 needle because even a US 4 would have been too hard to work.

Ummm:
Directions don’t state how to F / O the tail.
There’s rows 1 - 41, 6 st.
Perhaps purl one more row, then bindoff or place a gathering yarn thru the loops.

Directions assume one knows to stitch the tail seam before attaching it to the body.

There’s quite a bit of easing to do when attaching the top body to the underside piece, so don’t be alarmed that the under piece is so much shorter.

Used 18.0 mm brown animal eyes. Reinforced the stitches around the eyes before setting them in.

Used bigger needle for the underside because the yarn was less bulky than the main yarn.
