Notes

A stunning design.

Baby blanket for daughter’s friend in November.

Don’t be alarmed by the yardage used. Worked two str together because this yarn is essentially crochet cotton.

Ms. Mae is a genius and her designs are amazing but this throw design can not be characterized as easy.
It is a challenge to determine the stitch counts from the chart provided. That said, it is worth working thru.

Designer’s tip:
if using a digital device vs a print-out, in Adobe PDF reader, select Comment, then select the drawing tools, and draw a line. When one clicks on the line, it shows handles and can be moved. The line location saved with the PDF when closed and is moveable next time the PDF is opened.

The stitches are easy: fsc, ch, sc, tr. (US terminology).
Design provides UK terminology also.

The ch 4 repeats create a pretty mesh and the triple crochet groups that comprise the motifs fill the spaces beautifully.

This yarn pulls easily from the center, if one wants to start with the center color, as I did.

Wrote each row out because even if the chart it is enlarged, is too hard to work from directly.

The designer is very attentive and at the ready to help with any issues.

I transposed the smaller butterflies from the fingering chart to my DK chart: one, lower left and two, upper right.

note:
If one adds motifs to their project, more yarn is needed because there will be many more shell stitch groups.

Edge finishing:
After r 120, worked one r side hem, lower border entire, other side one row, then top border entire.

Worked last row of upper and lower border: (2 sc in ch, sc).
