Notes

The way this design is modeled, one can’t see the pretty bell motif in the center. The project should be named for this feature.

Went up a needle size. This chenille yarn is hard to work with anything smaller. Am over guage, but that’s okay. I have plenty of yarn.

Yarn is a nice non-wool alternative.
Easy care. MW, tumble dry gentle.

Errata 1:
r 19 omit ‘k 1 pwise ‘
instructions state to k 1 pwise before the second cable area. This manipulation is not mirrored before or after the first cable in the row. With it, stitches don’t work out, nor the pattern otherwise.

Errata 2 and 3:
r 19:
Correction for first cable:
Sl 3 to cable needle, hold back.
K3, k2tog, k3 from cable needle.

Correction for second cable area:
Sl 3 st onto cable needle, hold front.
K3, ssk, K3 from cable needle.

Errata 4, good grief:
buttonhole r 2:
Apparently, there’s an error there.
I put in 6 buttons, so I adjusted that on my own.

The beg and ending rows are wider than the main section at first, but upon washing, that difference is less.

I wish I had looked at the projects and notes of others before embarking on this project. I usually do. Oh, well.

Row 19 is a tricky one, namely, k4tog tbl and k4tog. The other rows are no problem.
Tip:
Make purl stitches in center of r 18 very loosely.

The scarf needs finishing stitches on the long sides as well, in my opinion. The scarf turns in along the long sides because of the edge cables.
I will save some yarn to add a couple rows of loosely stitched sc to stabilize the sides.
Added beads to top of bells.
