Notes

Okay. This is the billionth time I’ve made this pattern. Actually, 5th.

Very creative design. Easy. Made this one in one day!

Economical. One sk ea yarn makes two scarves.

Cast on 52 st, very loosely, lacey yarn held double for cast on row only. Do not be tempted to hold the lacey yarn double throughout. Doing so loses the effect of the accent rows. The fabric made as written is very strong.

Held heavier accent yarn double throughout because it’s a worsted.

Knitted the accent yarn in with the single str lacey yarn for first st only every row vs carrying it up. Doing so insures that there’s enough slack row to row. It serves as a row marker as well. Worn as a scarf, that vertical line creates a border. As a cowl, it blends in.

Cast off very loosely with accent and lacey yarn tog.

An elegant gift.
