Notes

This is a great pattern designed specifically for Lion Brand Woolease Thick and Quick.

I like it that the designer went down a couple needle sizes to get a firm guage. Toasty warm!

I also like the fold over feature. One can elect to wear the top unfolded to cover the fingers.

I made these as part of a matched set.
Two pompoms on Oversized Tapered Scarf

Claret Tad’s Hat with a Pompom

Colors Fisherman and Claret:
used leftovers from hat and scarf projects.
If making these warmers in all one color, one skein is plenty.

Elected to work flat because I don’t use dpns.
I worked 22 r, color change, then 12 more rows.
I allowed a couple more rows for the thumb opening and a few more for the fold over at the top.
Bound off very loosely.
Sl st seam.
Added thumb area with crochet.
