What a beautiful design for a two color or three color project.

This pattern is written impeccably.
Usually, I gain or lose stitches at beginning or end of rows.
I am working it flat and because the designer provided directions for a swatch made flat, I am able to do that very easily. I plan to add a button closure.

I haven’t had to count anything after working rows, but the designer provides detailed stitch numbers for each of the five rows, such as how many sc, sp, dc, tr, v st…

Ms. Jessica also gives very clear directions on how to make the v-stitch, double triple st and the cluster.

Elected to work fsc instead of ch’s to start.
Worked r 1 into the fsc row as written.

Elected to work last rep of r 2 - 5 all in color A for symmetry with beginning.
Worked one row sc to finish long end.
Two r sc on one short end for buttons.
Don’t have buttons for other side.
Will fashion button holes later.
