This is a simple yet beautiful design.
The directions are very well written.
The designer has a very good method for cinching up the crown loops.

Gauge:
Brioche stitch, 13 st = 4” fabric unstretched.
It’s plenty stretchy and oversized.
I was on gauge for the 1x1 beg ribbing but over gauge for the main section (9 brioche st / 4”).
I’ll make the next one one size smaller or use smaller needle for main section.

The brioche stitch takes time, but is worth it.
For every two rows stitched, one brioche row results.
The resultant fabric is supple and warm for winter accessories.

Plan to make a hat, cowl and mitts set in this color combination, yarn allowing.
