Notes

This isn’t a quick project but the motif is easy to execute and is very pretty.
The resultant fabric is neither too dense nor too open, which makes it practical for wearing as a single layer or wrapped around.

Beautiful color distribution on the multi.
My first two skeins of it were the same lot but the colors of one are noticeably darker than the other. For this scarf, it’s okay, but still, not happy about that. Same lot skeins, mass produced, should be exactly the same.

Pattern is on yarn wrappers only of Loops & Threads Cozy Wool Merino Multi and Cozy Wool Merino Solid. The pattern is not available via download from Michaels or anywhere else.
Am happy to share this pattern with anyone.

Yarn quantity issue
MC: Multi:
calls for two skeins, but one needs 1/3 of another to achieve length as written.

The length of my main section with two skeins measured 54”, on gauge. According to the pattern, it should be 63”.
With the two 2” borders, the scarf, as is, would be 58”, not 66”.
Used all of a third skein for a longer scarf. Still light and easy to wear.
Scarf shrank slightly upon machine wash warm / tumble dry.

Helpful tip:
Take a moment to write out the directions for the Cluster Columns Stitch and the Ribbed Border for yourself.
Working the pattern from the yarn wrapper is tricky due to the small print and the paragraph style format.

Suggestion:
Ribbed Border:
Work one row only of dc’s, which are a set up row for the post stitch ribbing rows on each end.

Modification:
MC Cluster Columns section:
r 3: work a standing dc, ch 2 instead of ch 5 at beginning of row.
CC Ribbed Border section:
work standing dc’s at beg r 1 & 2.
work standing hdc’s at beg r 3 & 4.
Standing stitches look very nice and facilitate working the end of the next row.

A good thing:
CC Solid, for borders:
one skein: uses ~ 80 y, 30 g, 1/5 skein.
plenty leftover for a hat.

Modification:
CC Solid: added hdc border to long sides and sc trim to short ends, which used another 20 g.
