Notes

A fun and beautiful knit from Sylvie Lui.

This cowl to be donated as a silent auction item at Devonne’s Divas Ovarian Cancer Charity Event 2016, hosted by Jeanine Kaplan, Byron, Il.
Designer’s permission graciously granted.

Clarification:
For rows 2 & 4, directions state:
k1 tbl in double yo of prev row.

To work this without losing a stitch:
k1 tbl first loop of double yo of prev row.
Then, k1 tbl second loop same yo.

At first, when I was on this row, I was incorrectly making one k1 tbl and slipping the whole yo loop off, thus losing a stitch. Across the row, I was losing 4 st.
All rows maintain 27 st.

The Cascade Magnum is bulkier than the yarn in the pattern. I didn’t want to make the stitches too dense by going down a needle, so I cast on 20 st and made one less pattern rpt in ea row.

The 4 row pattern is easy to memorize and goes very quickly.

This is a substantial yarn that would be wonderful as a jacket or coat. Cascade Yarns has several free download designs. 100 % Peruvian Highland Wool. Ea sk has 30 more yds than other comparable yarns at the same price.
