Photo tutorial of my:
Super-dee-duper Slip Stitch Crochet Seam technique.
(pictures do not show yarn overs of the working yarn.)
It’s a lot of pictures, but it’s much easier to do than to explain.
The main steps are photos # 8 & 9.
That’s all there is to it, really.

I seam all my hand knit / crochet seams as above.
It is beautiful in my opinion.
It is quick and easy.
One needn’t know how to crochet, necessarily.
One needn’t even like crocheting!
The crochet hook is merely a tool to manipulate the yarn to attach two pieces together.
Think of it as sewing with a crochet hook rather than a tapestry needle.

Side seams are worked the same as shoulder seam shown. One simply places the hook into outermost loops of the two pieces, consistently. Check work and give it a tug periodically to verify desired tension and flexibility.
For side seams, one might work a slip stitch into every row or every other…
One can also make a chain stitch between slipped stitches, if needed.

Happy to clarify any step.

My 9th Deschain.
Finished Deschain # 1,649

This is the first time I’ve used this yarn.
Very soft and easy to work.
swatch came out perfect, first time.
upon machine wash / tumble dry, no change whatsoever. Kinda yay!
