Notes

This roving style yarn is incredibly soft and it knits up very easily. I actually had 2 sk of one lot and 1 sk of a different lot. The color and texture of all skeins matched exactly. I used the one sk in the middle of the scarf and I can’t see the slightest difference.

The pattern is very simple: a k1, p1 1x1 rib with gentle cables here and there. It also features an simple, beautiful edge finish that the designer calls a Shaker Rib Selvedge.

I moved the placement of the cables a bit left and right each time, so they meander along.

I had enough length with 11 cables, rather than 12. Only 33 y, 20 g leftover.

This scarf is versatile. There’s numerous ways to wear it. Added coordinating woven ribbon. It takes a bit to knit up, but it’s worth it. Makes a lovely gift. This is a good design for a guy’s scarf by simply omitting the cables.
