Notes

Needed a baby blanket in quick order because I didn’t know if the baby was a girl or boy.

This blanket uses a one row pattern known as moss st / linen st / granite st.
It’s incredibly beautiful for a one row stitch pattern.
Easy to memorize.
Easy to color block.

Changed my mind about the design to make for this yarn many many times. Glad I found this one.

Started with foundation sc vs ch’s.
Ended with (sc, front loop sl st) across so the depth of both hem ends would match.

Recommendation:++
Work one row FSC instead of chains, then work r 1stitch pattern.
Work r 1: sc in 1 st fsc, then work row as written.

To modify width, determine how many stitches are needed for desired width.
FSC that number of stitches, in multiples of two, plus one more stitch at the end.

Recommendation:
R 2: sc in 1st stitch, sc in ch space, (ch 1, sk 1, sc) rep to end, ch 1, turn.

Worked two rows sc along for side borders.
