Made this design once before. Loved making it and loved the finished project.

I really messed up on calculating how many stitches to work. Didn’t have near enough for the width. Did some color blocking to compensate.

Recommendation:
Work one row FSC instead of chains, then work r 1stitch pattern.
Work r 1: sc in 1 st fsc, then work row as written.

To modify width, determine how many stitches are needed for desired width.
FSC that number of stitches, in multiples of two, plus one more stitch at the end.

Recommendation:
R 2: sc in 1st stitch, sc in ch space, (ch 1, sk 1, sc) rep to end, ch 1, turn.

Bella Lino:
A non-wool, non-synthetic yarn option.
Easy care. I washed my swatch in HOT water and dried HOT as well. No shrinkage and no color fading or color changes.
Finished item can be MW lukewarm / gentle with tumble dry cool air / gentle with no problems.
