Made this wonderful hat for a friend who is going thru chemotherapy. This pattern is very well written. Easy to work up.

I’ve made seven other hats for my friend, so, in case there’s ever an 8 day week, she’ll have a clean one to grab.
All the other hats had color so this neutral one will be a nice one for her to have.

Down a couple needle sizes. Usually I’m over guage. Typically, smaller needles are needed for linen yarn as well.

I have two sk, diff lots. Alternated skeins every other row.

This pattern works up quickly. Before long one can see what to do.

I gave the hat to my friend and forgot to get pictures after it was washed. The stitches relaxed and it was beautifully drapey and comfy soft.

Linen yarns are stiff like rope or twine when on the skein, but transform into something amazing upon knitting up and washing. The fabric gets better and better with washing and wearing.
