Tip:
Directions state to purl the first four rounds, then knit the next dec row, proceeding to purl next three rows, knit next dec row and so on. The project is joined and worked in the round. RS facing.

It’s much easier to do the opposite. Knit the first four, purl the dec row, knit three, purl next dec row… In this way, WS faces at all times, but will work up much more quickly, since knitting is typically faster than purling.

Another idea:
It’s fine to actually knit all rows. When working a dec row ‘purlwise’, simply turn the work, knit that one row, then turn again. The yarn has enough texture that the turn area isn’t apparent.

Incorporating a coord worsted, held double because I only have one sk of Spago. Worked 4 r Spago at beg and end rows. Worked 7 r worsted after every 2 r Spago in center section.
