A simple design that is impressive because of the color changes in the yarn. When I saw the yarn in the store, I looked up patterns designed for it. This is perfect.

Garter stitch! Yay! Quick project.

This yarn, all one skein:
250 g, 530 y, 485 m
Ravelry database: 100 g, 211 y (193 m).

Cast on 25% more stitches since this yarn (530 y) has that much more in yardage than the pattern yardage (400 y).

I don’t know how the design width was measured. If measured along the row, it’ll be wider than across when on. My scarf (CO 45) is 10 1/2” across the row and about 8” as draped on the bias.

Recommendation:
Wider is better.
Pattern states CO 36.
I CO 45 and my scarf is 7” wide straight across.
I’d cast on 55 for a true 9” width.

Down a needle to get gauge. Typical for me.
Worked one r sc for finished hems.

At 80” long, I had enough yarn to work a row of very loose sc, then one row sl st all around to add a little width.
