Notes

The lace motif looks like hearts- a happy accident that had gone unnoticed by the designer, the fabulous Ms. Lui.

Very pretty. This is the third time I’ve used this pattern. It’s easy, quick and fun. The pattern becomes second nature rather quickly. Made in just a few hours.

Love this yarn. It is inexpensive but looks expensive. The colors are very pretty; like cotton candy or sherbet. The colors are very consistent one sk to the next, so striping is uniform and symmetric.

Colors remain true upon washing and project neither stretches nor shrinks. Before washing, fabric is firm, but after, stitches relax a bit and cowl becomes more drapey, which is very nice.

Need a cable needle. Instructions for c4f & c4b available online.

My guage was too big and going to a smaller needle wasn’t ‘t really an option. Instead, cast on 110 (vs 126 as written). At end of each row, p3 (vs p2 as written). Rpt row pattern 5x (vs 6 as written). Also omitted r 8 in order to prevent running out of yarn.

Note: omitting r8 has the added effect of making the lace motif look like interlocking hearts. Very pretty.

Suggestion:
Used US 17 12.75 mm for cast on row only. Used US 17 12.0 mm for project. After cast on and join, k one row acr for stability, then commence with pattern. For cast off, do so loosely with larger needle as well.
